The Australian educational system is world-renowned for its quality. Australian universities have graduated international achievers, including eight Nobel Prize winners. Study courses in Australia are carefully structured via a national curriculum framework which ensures the highest academic standards.

If you've decided that this is the path you want to take, there are several steps you need to go through to meet your end-goal:

1. Plan your study - Identify what field of study you are interested in. Australia has four major educational sectors: Australia schools, vocational education and training, Australian universities and English language training. Select a course that suits your current needs as well as your overall career goals. You also need to find out what level of qualification best suits you. Finally, choose your educational institution by considering your preferred location, your financial capacity and the duration of the course.
2. Select the course from a registered educational institution. Registered study courses in Australia are those offered by an education provider registered with the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS).

3. Apply for admission and secure an acceptance letter. This is a pre-requisite for you to be able to get your Australian student visa. When applying for admission, you need to provide documentation of your academic achievements and English proficiency.
4. Acquire your student visa and get your medical insurance. All overseas students must have a valid visa to be able to stay in Australia and study in an Australian school. You will also need to pay for your compulsory medical insurance, the Overseas Health Cover or OSHC. You may also want to get additional insurance for your other needs.

National Visas is a world leader in Australian immigration services. It is a privately held company that provides assistance and advice to people who want to travel or migrate to Australia.
