Important Information on the USCIS Filing Fees Effective Shortly

Finally, USCIS has implemented the increase of filing fee to be effective immediately on November 23, 2010. The Federal Register has published about the increase days past.

To be guided with the increase, here are some of the most important fees increased.

The following forms are:
o Form I-90, which filing fee has increased to 365$ from its original fee of $290. This is a form for the replacement of green card.
o Form I-129, which filing fee has increase to $325 from its original fee of $320. This is a form for H, L, P, O visas.
o Form I-130 which filing fee has increased to $420 from its original fee of $355. This form is used on family-based immigrant visas.
o Form I-131 which filing fee has increase to $360 from its original fee of $305. This is the form use for re-entry permits and advance parole documents.
o Form I-140 which filing fee has increased to $580 from its original fee of $475. This form is used for employment-based immigrant visas.
o Form I-290B which filing fee has increased to $630 from its original price of $585. This from is used to re-open.
o Form I-485 which filing fee has increased to $985 from its original price of $930. This form is for adjustment of status.
o Form I-751 which filing fee has increased to $505 from its original fee of $465. This form is used for application for a removal of condition.
o Form I-765 which filing fee has increased to $380 from its original fee of $340. This form is used to apply for a work permit.
o Form I-824 which filing fee has increase to $405 from its original fee of $340. This form is used to apply action on approved petition, follow -to- join.

o Some of the forms that have decreased are:

o Form I-129F which filing fee has decreased to $340 from its original fee of $455. This form is used to apply for fiancée visa.
o
o Form I-539 has decreased $290 from the original fee of $300. This is the form used to apply for the change or extension of status.

These are the forms that have increased and some have decreased from among the many forms available in the USCIS. It is understood that any applications or petitions done in different method such as in mail, postmark, or else filed on or after November 23, 2010 must pay the newly implemented amount.
