More Points in the Tier 1 UK Visa System Helps People Enter the Country

There are ways for you to live in the United Kingdom, even if you aren't a citizen. You can even work there, if you fulfill the requirements. The reason this is possible is because of the Tier 1 UK visa system. This process helps any qualifying individual receive the ability to immigrate and live in the UK.

If you want to qualify for the Tier 1 UK visa system, you need at least 75 points. The easiest way to get the coveted points is to apply for the visa before you are 29, as you receive 20 points if you are under this age. You only receive five points if you are between 35 and 39, while you get 10 if you apply during the early thirties. This is the same for other age brackets as well.

It also helps if you have quality educational credentials like a masters degree. For instance, if you have received your MBA degree before June 30, 2008, you could get up to 75 points. If you have only gotten a bachelor's degree, it is 30 points. A Ph.D receives 45 points, while someone with a master's degree gets 35. Obviously, the more education you have, the easier it is to get more points.

If you can speak English and from a majority English-speaking area, you could get up to 10 points. This means if you are from Jamaica, the United States, or Canada or have a degree in English, it is easier to receive the points. Most have to take a test in order to prove their proficiency in the English language.

Obviously, the more points you have in the Tier 1 UK visa system, the easier it is to qualify. This process is all about what you know and can do in life.
